Current Grant SupportMost research support for the Nestler Lab is provided by grants from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). Most important are three institutional grants: 1) a program project grant, Molecular Neurobiology of Drug Addiction, from NIDA, 2) a Conte Center grant, Role of Appetitive Neural Substrates in Mood and Motivation, from NIMH, and 3) a pre- and postdoctoral training grant, Basic Science Training in Drug Abuse, also from NIDA. In addition, the Lab receives critical support from research endowments at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. |
