The Nestler Lab

The Laboratory of Molecular Psychiatry, a part of the Fishberg Department of Neuroscience and the Brain Institute at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, is located on the 10th floor of the Icahn Medical Institute at 1425 Madison Avenue (by 98th Street).

The lab members include: two research faculty, nine postdoctoral fellows, three graduate students/ MD-PhD students, and several research assistants. Our funding comes from NIH grants, a grant from AstraZeneca, and endowment funds from Mount Sinai. The Lab benefits from numerous Core Facilities including a behavioral testing core, a cellular imaging core, a genotyping core and the viral vector production core. We collaborate with many laboratories at Mount Sinai and at many outside insitutions.

We have several gatherings outside of school throughout the year to foster community within our lab; these events include lab happy hours, a Christmas party, and many more informal events.
