| Most research support for the Nestler Lab is provided by grants from the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the National Institute of Mental Health. Most important are two institutional grants: a program project grant, Molecular Neurobiology of Drug Addiction, from NIDA, and a Conte Center grant, Role of Appetitive Neural Substrates in Mood and Motivation, from NIMH. We also have a research alliance with AstraZeneca and receive critical support from research endowments at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
